Abstract: Objective To analyze the screening results of TSH and Phe in the neonates so as to reveal the incidence of CH and PKU in Chencang district,Baoji City, and to provide the basis for neonatal screening for the effective intervention. Methods Blood samples were taken from the heels of the 3-day old neonates,to detect Phe and TSH by using time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay. Results From July 2007 to December2014, 25831 neonates were screened. The screening rate was increased from 3. 02%(in 2007) to 95. 52%(in 2014). The incidence of CH was 1∶1 567(in 2014),which was higher than the national rate(1∶2 099). Hyperphenylalaninemia(HPA) incidence was 1∶1 176(2014),which was higher than the national rate(1∶11 376). Conclusion Neonatal screening is an efficient measure to reduce birth defects and improve the newborn population quality. The incidence of CH and PKU was higher than the national average, suggesting that attention should be paid to this situation by the government and maternal and child health care institutions.
