Abstract

Abstract: Objective To investigate the change and related factors of serum nesfatin-1 level in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus （T2DM） and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD）.Methods erum nesfatin-1 concentration was examined in 32 T2DM patients without NAFLD （T2DM group）,32 T2DM patients with NAFLD （T2DM-NAFLD group） and 30 cases of normal control （NC group）.The influencing factors for nesfatin-1 were analyzed.Results Compared with the other two groups,serum nesfatin-1 concentration was the lowest in T2DM-NAFLD group（P<0.05 or P<0.01）. TG and WC were the independent related factors for nesfatin-1（P<0.05 or P<0.01） Conclusion Serum nesfatin-1 concentration obviously declined in elderly T2DM patients with NAFLD,which may be involved in the development of IR and NAFLD.
