Abstract: Objective To understand the practices of convalescent plasma of COVID-19(CCP)collection and emergency management in the blood collection and supply institutions in China, and to further improve the mechanism for convalescent plasma collection. Methods Self-made questionnaires, about three aspects including CCP collection, emergency management and clinical infusion, were sent to 72 provincial and municipal blood establishments that voluntarily participated in the knowledge exchange(KE)of mainland in China by email. Results 61 institutions carried out CCP collection work, and 42 actually responded to the questionnaire(17 blood centers and 25 central blood stations),the effective feedback rate was 69%(42/61). 90.5% (38/42)of institutions are led by provincial or local health administrative departments. More than 70% of institutions have carried out training on COVID-19 prevention knowledge, plasma collection and biosafety. The proportion of blood centers and central blood stations that carried out the "special testing" for COVID-19 were 47.1%(8/17)and 29.4%(5/17)respectively,as the "pre-infusion immunological test of CCP" were 16%(4/25) and 4%(1/25). Only 35.7%(14/42)of the institutions collected CCP clinical infusion efficacy data. Conclusion The model of the health administrative department as the leading department in charge of the CCP work has basically been formed, but the responsibilities of the blood collection and supply institutions in the work of the CCP have not been unified and clarified, and a standardized information exchange mechanism for the whole-process monitoring of CCP infusion therapy and application effects has not been established.
