Abstract: Objective To analyze the relationship between the levels of LP (a),Lp-PLA2 and HFABP and the severity of coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods One hundred CHD patients diagnosed by coronary angiography in the hospital in recent three years were selected for observation and 100 healthy volunteers as the control. Sera of fasting venous blood were collected after admission, and the level of HFABP were measured by ELISA. The Lp-PLA2 and LP(a) were detected by fluorescent enhanced immunochemiluminescence and immunoturbidimetric method, respectively. Result The levels of LP (a),Lp-PLA2 and HFABP in the observation group were found to be significantly higher than those in the control (P<0.05); the increase of LP (a),Lp-PLA2 and HFABP was positively correlated with the severity of CHD (P<0.05). Conclusion The levels of LP (a),Lp-PLA2 and HFABP in CHD patients were notably elevated which is closely associated with the severity of CHD,suggesting a potential significance in the diagnosis of CHD.
