Abstract: Objective To analyze the clinical application value of serum procalcitonin (PCT) combined with high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in neonatal intestinal infectious diseases and its effect on prognosis. Method s60 cases of neonates with intestinal infectious diseases admitted in our hospital from April 2016 to July 2017 were collected as the observation group. The 60 cases of uninfected newborns were selected as Non-infected group at same period. Detection and comparison of two groups of serum PCT and hs-CRP and other indicators of the level of the situation. Results The levels of PCT and hs-CRP in the infected group were significantly higher than those in the non-infected group (P<0.05). The above indexes were effectively down-regulated (P<0.05) after the clinical treatment, the diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy of intestinal infectious diseases are better than serum CRP. Conclusion PCT test can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy of neonatal intestinal infectious diseases, guide the follow-up treatment, and improve the quality of prognosis, which have a positive effect.
