Abstract: Objective To explore the significance of nucleic acid tests for centralized blood screening in southern Anhui. Methods Qualified samples from five blood stations were detected, with two sets of nucleic acid blood screening systems for HBV DNA,HCV RNA and HIV RNA. The samples with negative ELISA and positive NAT were further identified for hepatitis B. Finally, the positive rates of nucleic acids in five blood stations were analyzed. Results During the centralized detection,39616 samples were tested and 39 HBV positive samples were found, including 12 in Wuhu,16 in Anqing,3 in Chizhou,5 in Huangshan, and 3 in Tongling. Conclusion NAT screening can find positive samples from negative samples tested by ELISA .NAT effectively reduced the risk of diseases through blood transfusion. Nucleic acid concentration detection may improve the quality of blood and blood safety.
