Correlation between HLA-DRB1 Gene and End Stage Renal Disease in Hebei Han Nationality

Abstract: Objective To study the correlation between HLA-DRB1 gene and end-stage renal disease in Hebei Han population,and to find the susceptibility genes of patients with end-stage renal disease. Methods HLA-DRB1 typing was performed on 490 patients with end-stage renal disease by polymerase chain reaction-specific primers (PCR-SSP). The frequency was calculated by direct counting method. Haldane's correction formula was used to calculate the relative risk of the HLA-DRB1 gene to the disease. The significance of RR was calculated by Fisher's exact P-value method and then corrected by multiplied the number of antigens. Results 13 HLA-DRB1 alleles were detected in 490 patients with end-stage renal disease. The highest allele was DRB1*15 (0.167 347),followed by DRB1*04 (0.129 592),DRB1*12 (0.126 531 DRB1*04 (0.082 776),DRB1*11 (0.088 776),DRB1*14 (0.082 653),tested significance of RR found that the DRB1*04,DRB1*12,DRB1*14 gene significantly associated with end stage renal disease occurrence while the DRB1*09 have a protective effect on the of end stage renal disease. Conclusion DRB1*04,DRB1*12 and DRB1*14 are the susceptibility genes of end-stage renal disease in Hebei Han nationality,while DRB1*09 is a protective gene.
