Abstract: Objective To investigate the difference of IL-4,IL-10 and IFN-γ levels in blood samples between TPPA positive donors and negative controls. Methods The blood donors in the unqualified results of anti-TP antibody screening were confirmed by TPPA. The IL-4,IL-10 and IFN-γ were detected by quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) .Results The means of IL-4,IL-10 and IFN-γ in TPPA positive donors were 3.9 pg/mL,3.6 pg/mL,1.5pg/mL respectively. The means of IL-4,IL-10 and IFN-γ in TPPA negative control group were 5.0pg/mL,2.0pg/mL and 2.32pg/mLrespectively. There was no significant difference in the levels of IL-4,IL-10 and IFN-γ between the two groups. Conclusion There was no significant difference in Th1/Th2 cytokine levels between TPPA positive donors and negative controls. It wasn’t yet confirmed that there was a Th1/Th2 imbalance in TPPA positive donors.
